This time it's the Chapman coverlet that caught my eye. Again and as always you have chosen perfect fabric. Can you tell me how many different fabrics you are using for this quilt? I never quite know how many are best and I am learning as much as I can. I will be buying the Chapman pattern and thanks to the internet I can also get it from over here in Germany. Thanks for sharing!Claudia/Ompompalihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15480820181886586055noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2391988816380415741.post-28030984817129999292016-08-04T00:50:16.448+10:002016-08-04T00:50:16.448+10:00I trust the first photo of your Harrison Rose quil...I trust the first photo of your Harrison Rose quilt is a work in progress. Your Harrison Rose is stunning. I am so happy to see that you chose to hang it in all its glory. I look forward to watching your progress on the Wheat and Woods quilting. I think that is one of favorites. Well, except for all your others! I have always loved the Chapman Coverlet and your color choices are delicious! I love that center! I really am going to try the foil method. I'm happy that it works so well for you. As for the SVBAQ quilt, I had thought of stopping too, but with your kind words for my color choices you have spurred me on and I thank you. I'm not sure how I have kept up, but I think it is the color that keeps me going. Your 9 blocks will become something magnificent I'm sure. Thank you for sharing such treasures.Wendy Caton Reedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18122151466664580872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2391988816380415741.post-29030009016230978462016-07-22T19:50:00.402+10:002016-07-22T19:50:00.402+10:00A joy to see your exquisite work as always. Your triple parallel line quilting is marvellous. I haven't had the patience to try that yet - only double line - I'm wondering did you mark all 3 lines or eyeball it for lines 2 & 3? I like your botanical blocks - I like the fabrics that you used - they will make a very pretty wallhanging as well. Well I see you're making great progress on Wheat and Woods already you are such a fast hand quilter! Love the gorgeous red and greens for your coverlet project - very glad you could find a method that is comfortable for you. I enjoyed the picture of an almost eye level look at the next quilt top with all the pins. I wondered if you basted your quilts after pinning and before quilting but it looks like you just take the pins out as you go. I do love that batting that you are using because it doesn't shift very easily and the needle just glides through. You've made some very pretty flower blocks. I never think to use pink and yellow together but when I see them made up, I always like them.
